Our 2 1/2 year old Labradoodle has been burping. She has always burped a little, but now we notice it much more often. After she burps she hangs her head down like she's looking at the floor, so we think maybe she's uncomfortable. It's more frequent after meals.
We had been using Nutro Lamb/Rice and have begun to transition her to Castor/Pollux Organix because we thought maybe its more digestible, but so far there is no improvement in the burps.
Let me add that her appetite is good, her weight is steady, her bowel movements are normally formed (we live in NYC and must scoop them all). Her abdomen is soft and we can push on it and she's not tender. Her mood is good and she is normally playful. We don't think she eats particularly quickly.
We are thinking of giving her Tums or Zantac, but we are not sure if that's right. Another possiblity is human food, like turkey and rice, but I'd like not to get into feeding her human food if possible.
Thank you for your advice.
