my boston dog is vommilting this foam and bile
JA: I'll do all I can to help. How long has the dog had this foam?
Customer: a couple days very bad tonight but he doe is on and off fairly frequently not this severe tho
JA: When did the dog last see a vet? Is he taking any medications?
Customer: we took him to emerg vet tonight but they had 4 dogd ahead of him and with this covid mess they could not see him
JA: What's the dog's name?
Customer: Gonzo
JA: Is there anything else the Vet should know?
Customer: Few years back the vet siad his bloodwork showed mils panctretitis

Dr suggested it was Gastrointestinal possibly inflammatory bowel disease so I will go with ultrasound to see whats up in there

He has been sleeping comfy pretty much since we got home from Vet ...no more vomitting or retching since injection

the pancreas can still potentially be inflamed. The SNAP cPL test is about 80% accurate to diagnose pancreas inflammation, so there could still be some inflammation. An ultrasound helps to give more clarification, but even that is not 100% accurate. The tests are interpreted together. I think a small bowel disease such as inflammatory bowel disease or something else makes the most sense since the blood work was so normal.

The first step is to stop the vomiting behavior, which so far has been accomplished. As long as he is not vomiting and drinking at least somewhat, then he will likely remain hydrated.

ultrasound is the best way to go to find out whats up inside him would you say as well....X ray not so much for this situation?

They gave him injection of Cerenia and 2 tabs for the next 2 days for vomitting also an intestinal antibiotic incase of an internal infection going on

That is right. X-rays are not the most diagnostic tool, especially to evaluate the pancreas. An x-ray would help if there is a foreign object present or a large tumor. More subtle features, like inflammation in the pancreas or small intestine, will need an ultrasound to diagnose.
