But before I can start I need a little more information to make things clearer for me, so could you please confirm the following :

1. How long ago did this happen { How many minutes or hours ago }?

2. I guess this was a toad?

10 minutes? One of the best things you can do in this sort of situation is to make Charlie Girl sick immediately and try to recover the toad that way. If you can do this within the first hour after ingestion then this may be possible. For the sake of speed, I will give you a link on how to do this best: LINK

{ Also be aware that an ER vet will be able to quickly induce vomiting with prescription drugs }

However you should be aware though that in some parts of the world including parts of the USA toads can be poisonous and toad poisoning can be very serious or even life-threatening, if this is what is going on in your case then your dog will be showing progressively worse symptoms and you should then take your dog to an ER vet without delay. Please follow this link for more in-depth information including expected symptoms: LINK

But in any case, I should be available online for you for the next four or five hours today so please do not hesitate to get straight back to me if Charli Girl's condition changes in any way or indeed if you would like to talk things over with me further.

Regards,

Dr Scott

She seems calm after the peroxide and isnt drooling. It was not one of the two species listed as deadly. Thank you.

Unfortunately she didnt throw up after the peroxide. She swallowed it whole and is probably already digesting. Are there any symptoms we should watch out for?

Actually the link about covers it, but in any case, where toad toxicity is occurring you will not be in any doubt as these dogs deteriorate very quickly. But if you are sure it was a non-toxic person then that is great.

Scott
